Mohamed Salah Issues Regret to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones

Jones has disclosed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the entire Liverpool squad after the fallout from his televised remarks.

What Happened

The striker was dropped from a European match following criticising the club and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”

Arne Slot has refused to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the player.

Team Unity

He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” he continued.

He also noted that a player's desire to start is less of an issue. “It's clear there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

On-Field Response

Their results have stayed unbeaten in the period after the situation. The player is convinced the outburst were not designed to destabilise the squad.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a desire to win,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, playing well and securing victories.”
